The scoreboard: profiting from the presidency at unprecedented scale
Several separate estimates put in-office enrichment in the billions. House Oversight Democrats' 'Professionalized Corruption' report and Digital Grift Wealth Tracker (January 2026) put realized profits at about $2.25 billion, rising to as much as $9.7 billion including digital assets, with $436-600 million tied to foreign interests. The Center for American Progress's 'Trump's Take' estimates $2.6 billion-plus in cash and gifts since inauguration; the Corruption Counter puts it near $2.2 billion including the ~$100 million IRS-audit-immunity benefit.
Point-in-time estimates run higher on paper: the New York Times estimated in July 2025 that crypto alone had added as much as $7.1 billion to the family's net worth; The New Yorker's running total reached roughly $4 billion by January 2026; the WSJ tallied ~$500 million realized plus up to $5 billion paper from WLFI alone. The trackers span crypto, foreign real estate, the Melania documentary, legal settlements, and gifts.
This roll-up row exists to anchor the category: it does not add new conduct but aggregates the documented income streams (CRY-01, CRY-03, FOR-02, PAY-22, and the rest) into the total picture, using each tracker's own methodology and clearly separating realized income from paper wealth.
