The foreign-deal wave: 23 projects, 10 countries, income set to explode
Editor's note: the president's own financial disclosure reports license fees from new foreign projects, including in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
Across 2025-26 the Trump Organization signed or reactivated a wave of foreign licensing deals: new projects in Romania (Bucharest), Qatar (a Doha tower), and Abu Dhabi's Al Raha Beach, plus reactivated Indian ventures in Gurugram, Noida and Pune. Bloomberg reported at least $26 million in new-deal income on Trump's June 2026 disclosure; CREW's tracker counts 24 Trump-branded foreign development projects across 11 countries this term.
The income trajectory is steep: CREW's February 2026 analysis found the family's UAE income alone jumped roughly tenfold to $34-39 million on $20 million-plus in new fees, and projected that foreign property income is 'set to explode.' The deals concentrate in Gulf states and other governments with active business before the administration, extending the Dar Global pipeline (FOR-05) into a term-long, multi-country franchise.
Not every deal survived scrutiny: the Belgrade project collapsed (a Serbian official was arrested over a forged heritage-protection document, and Kushner's Affinity withdrew), illustrating both the scale and the legal fragility of the foreign-deal push.
