He lost the 2020 election on the certified count. The official Electoral College results record 306 electoral votes for Joseph R. Biden Jr. and 232 for him, of 538, with 270 needed to win. The federal election infrastructure coordinating councils stated days after that vote that it was the most secure in American history and that there was no evidence any voting system deleted, lost or changed votes or was in any way compromised.

There is no countervailing fact here. In the Ankara remarks he called the second election rigged in the same breath as claiming it, which states his theory rather than supplying evidence for it. Two presidential elections have been certified in his favour, in 2016 and 2024.
