“Comey, Adam 'Shifty' Schiff, Leticia [James] — they're all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done.”
Nobody on Trump's enemies list has been found guilty of anything, and the indictments his pressure campaign produced were thrown out by a federal court. On November 24, 2025, Judge Cameron McGowan Currie dismissed the cases against both James Comey and Letitia James, ruling that prosecutor Lindsey Halligan (a former Trump White House aide and personal lawyer "with no prior prosecutorial experience") was unlawfully appointed, and that "all actions flowing from Ms. Halligan's defective appointment... were unlawful exercises of executive power."
Trump's post offered no evidence of any crime, because career prosecutors found none. The sitting U.S. attorney, Erik Siebert, was forced out in September 2025 after declining to bring charges that career prosecutors concluded lacked sufficient evidence. Trump then installed Halligan, who secured the Comey indictment on September 25 (five days after Trump's 'guilty as hell' demand to Bondi) and the James indictment on October 9. A letter signed by 42 retired federal judges, appointed by presidents of both parties, characterized this episode as Trump 'corruptly abusing the power of his office.' In America, guilt is decided by courts and juries on evidence, not declared by a president directing his attorney general to prosecute his named political opponents. Adam Schiff has never even been charged with a crime.
"All actions flowing from Ms. Halligan's defective appointment, including securing and signing Mr. Comey's indictment, were unlawful exercises of executive power and are hereby set aside." — U.S. District Judge Cameron McGowan Currie, dismissal ruling, Nov. 24, 2025
